Life Group and Hoskins Park Volunteers Meetup

Tom Wheeler, Johnny Allen and Paige Vestal would like you, your life group and groups from all the churches that have shown interest in Hoskins Park Ministries to a meeting to update you on the calendar of upcoming events for 2010.

The meeting will be at Forest Hill Church on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 6:30PM, room to be announced.

Although the meeting will be at Forest Hill, groups from other churches are very much welcome, as helping the needy has no borders.

I would especially hope that people who have been on our update email list but have not supported Hoskins Park in the past would attend this meeting.

Tom, Johnny and Paige will update you on the Hoskins Park Open House, Life Group Appreciation Day and the Christmas Party for 2010, as well as other needs of the Ministry.

If you have not heard Tom speak before, you are in for a treat!

Furthermore, and as most of you know, we have grown from one to 12 houses and 43 men since our inception. We have just completed Kurt’s House in honor of Kurt Wiltsey as well. So come check it out!

Oh, and don’t forget, we still need your continued support! Although many organizations that you and I support are distant and somewhat unknown to us personally – this work of God is in our back yard – we can watch it grow, as many of you have over the years – just like I have. So it is different. But like all ministries, we need persistent help from those who do know, understand and trust this is God’s work, rather than our own work and are committed to it growing. We need you is that point!

So come join us to hear an update of the ministry and to visit with us, our neighbors, and all of God’s least that have been invited to share in the days festivities of the day! We would really enjoy seeing you.

And remember, “Whatever you did for the least of these brothers of mine, you did to me.” Matt 25:40.

Planning Meeting For Life Group Leaders & Impact Champions

Thank you for your prayers and support for the Hoskins Park Ministries men and staff over the past several years.

You are invited to a planning meeting on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 6:30PM in room FCL 211 at Forest Hill Church.

Please RSVP to me if you would like to attend. Pizza will be served and I need a head count.

To find Room FCL 211: just before the Charis Room, left up the short stairs, take the elevator to the 2nd floor.

The purpose of this short meeting will be:

Plan for the Saturday, March 28, 2009 City Serve Volunteer Day at Hoskins Park.
Plan for the 3rd Annual Hoskins Park Open House on Saturday, May 2, 2009.
Discuss volunteer opportunities and how to register on Servenet.
Tom will provide an update on the Ministry.
